Welcome to Covenant Reformed Orthodox Presbyterian Church
Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church is a member congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church denomination and as such is committed to the historic Christian Faith as taught in the Bible and summarized as a system of doctrine by our secondary standards, The Westminster Confession of Faith, Larger Catechism, and Shorter Catechism. Covenant refers to the Covenant of Grace, which is God’s promise of Salvation to all who trust in Jesus Christ for Salvation from the guilt of sin and its attendant misery and death, the curse of the Biblical Fall. Reformed refers to our theological heritage as coming from the 16th century Protestant Reformation, a movement seeking to purify the church and make it radically biblical. Presbyterian refers to our form of church government, which is rule by the biblical word Presbyters or Elders. Orthodox in our denomination’s name means straight doctrine. All these terms are designed to be helpful in describing us as holding firmly to the Bible as God’s authoritative and inerrant Word and seeking to advance the Church of The Lord Jesus Christ and carry out his Great Commission as found in Matthew 28:18-20: Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Wow! What a powerful reminder to look outside our own comfortable, and well guarded routines. Some are gifted in this area, others of us not so much. However, this is an important reminder for us to keep trying. 🤔
What a great reminder to us all that we have opportunities everyday, in every place, to be a light to those who are struggling. I don’t know about you, but I often miss these opportunities because I sometimes tend to be more of a reflection, rather than a light. How about you? 💡
